Warning: brief but hearty rant ahead!
Please, for Pete's sake, add your phone number to your email signature!
Need I say more??
Okay, I will... Your clients will appreciate it. Your vendors will appreciate it. Even your mother will appreciate it. If you have an email signature and your phone number is not in it, you need to step into the 21st century and add it.
And if you communicate with people outside of your state, you really, really should add your timezone! If you communicate with people outside of your country, use GMT.
{stepping gingerly off of soap box}
Amen, Sister Michelle! This is a pet peeve of mine as well.

Hi Michelle,
I wanted to let you know that you've nudged me into adding the time zone to my signature. I've always had my phone and fax numbers there, but after a miscommunication today about the time of a meeting, I have added the time zone too.

Time zones, great idea, especially if you are doing business out of your local area. The email signature is one of the most underused aspects of email software. People should remember that email, though ubiquitous these days, is not the only way a client may want to communicate—there's still the telephone! And while you're at it, how about including a Skype address as well?

I want to add the following: please don't email me if you can pick up the darn phone and actually have a conversation with me! I'd love to talk to you...so even if you end up in voice mail, I'll get back to you and we can chat. We've been making a real effort to do this with our clients and it has paid off in warmer relationships, more shared information and even a couple of disasters averted.
