Take note! If you're a member of a membership organization that "recognizes a greater need for facilitation in businesses, nonprofits, governments and other civic dialogues" you could receive 25% off of conference fees.
Off the top of my head, some qualifying organizations would definitely be PMI (Project Management Institute), ODN (Organizational Development Network), and I'm sure many more. Interested organizations can contact US Regional Representative David Spann to discuss qualification.
IAF's conference runs from April 20-23 in Chicago (at the Hyatt Regency McCormack). There are full day sessions on the 20th and 21st, and shorter concurrent sessions on the 22nd and 23rd. Single day options are available.
The program details are found at a dedicated IAF 2010 Conference website.
Here's IAF's offer:
Chicago Conference offers Membership Rate to Non-Members
IAF North America is extending its membership rate, through April 23, to members of other like-minded facilitation groups and business organizations which recognize a greater need for facilitation in businesses, nonprofits, governments and other civic dialogues.
What does this mean?
Non-Members can get a 25% discount on the registration fee!
To apply, email David Spann with the words “IAFNA Special Offer” in the subject line. Please include in the body of the email, your name, contact information, the organization in which you hold a membership, and any identification information that proves you are a member of that organization. In return, you will receive a password to enter the registration process that will automatically discount your rate to that of an IAF member.
If your organization wants to support this offer by sending it out through its email system and/or posting it on its website, please send an email to David Spann to arrange a reciprocal posting of your organization’s logo/link on the www.IAFNA.org website.
