Michelle is a true business "counselor" applying her strong knowledge of firm operations and excellent observation skills.

The Golden Practices arm of the business provides this counsel, leads strategic and marketing planning efforts, conducts 360 degree evaluations, facilitates problem solving, and inspires organizational improvement. As a professional facilitator, Michelle helps groups get to the heart of issues and the path of improvement in a constructive manner.

The Golden Marketing arm supplements or performs as firms’ marketing departments in execution of marketing initiatives such as sales campaigns, website/blog development, collateral materials, event planning, surveys and more.

Her 20-year career background includes both accounting and marketing. She’s been an in-house marketing director in both the CPA and legal professions. For ten years prior, Michelle was an accountant in the corporate headquarters of two public healthcare companies.  

Michelle's work and opinions have appeared in Journal of Accountancy, National Law Journal, Practical Accountant, Accounting Today, INSIDE Public Accounting, CPA Marketing Report, CPA Managing Partner Report, AccountingWeb, CCH Journal of Tax Practice Management, Lawyer Marketing, Managing Partner and the St. Louis Business Journal.

Michelle is involved in the Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM) as founder and administrator of AAM’s Member Discussion List launched in 2000; past board member and officer; led several committees; and was named 2001 AAM Volunteer of the Year.

She is also a member of the board of directors of International Association of Facilitators and serves as the U.S. Regional Representative.
